The cloud forest is a really important part of the community in Las Tolas.   It boasts a large variety of intricate fauna and flora, particularly specific trees whose functions are essential to the smooth running of the local environment. This is why the community puts a specific emphasis on the preservation and development of the cloud forest. To curb the negative impact of deforestation, we have created a project named 'Los Padrinos' (meaning "Godfathers" in English) which aims to preserve and reforest the land around Las Tolas.
